Embryo transfer for Gir cows worth multiplying
Darvi Genetics Research Desk · Darvi Genetics field desk

Abstract
How ET and IVF increase calves from recorded cows without dropping welfare or parentage checks.
Embryo transfer allows high-merit cows to leave more calves than one pregnancy per year. It is only useful when donors are sound and parentage is known.
§01Candidate selection
“Not every high-yielding cow is an ideal donor.”
Not every high-yielding cow is an ideal donor. Structural soundness, reproductive history, genomic merit, and temperament all matter.
§03Traceability
Every embryo must link to documented sire and dam identities. Without traceability, genetic programs lose credibility.
§04Welfare first
Superovulation and recovery protocols require veterinary expertise and recovery time. Ethical programs never treat donors as production units alone.
